Description
Job Roles:
1. ICS works closely with classroom teachers and the SENCO
2. ICS ensures that students receive the necessary accommodations and modifications to succeed socially, emotionally, and academically
3. ICS ensures that the student engages in lessons, and inclusive classroom experience, and promotes positive meaning activities
4. Provide one one-on-one lesson during the pulled-out session, including but not limited to supporting him to complete his homework
5. Foster independence in the student by helping him develop social skills and self-regulation
6. Instructional support in helping implement individualized educational plans set for the student
7. Provide support in delivering differentiated instruction or lessons developed by SENCO and his teachers
8. Monitor his behavior and implement behavior management strategies as directed by the SENCO
9. Communicate regularly with the SENCO and the teachers
10. Support him during extracurricular activities, outings, and breaks
11. Involve physical activity including assisting him in lessons such as Physical Health Education, Music, ICT, Arts and Design, etc. to ensure the completion of tasks
12. Keep records of his progress and behavior incidents.
13. Serve as a prompter in class during lessons, examinations, and assessments.
